RE-START Focus Groups
For the project’s intellectual results, all materials will be built based on primary and secondary research. Thus, our partners developed focus groups in September and October 2022 with circular business stakeholders in Portugal, Poland, Spain, Greece, and Cyprus to identify the needs of circular entrepreneurs.

The stakeholders pointed out several challenges: financial, taxes, regulations, collaborations, and education. Moreover, they highlighted the significant gap and training needs about circular economy at all educational levels and from the point of view of its implementation in companies.
Furthermore, the lack of knowledge for creating a circular startup or shifting an existing startup to a circular one indicates that more efforts should be made toward education. Accordingly, the stakeholders also stressed that initiatives and projects similar to RESTART will help leverage this educational gap.
